Destini to supply non-proprietary aircraft parts for the Royal Malaysian Air Force

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 July 2020 – Destini Berhad (“Destini”) was awarded a contract from the Ministry of Defence Malaysia (“MINDEF”) to supply nonproprietary aircraft parts for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (“RMAF”).

This contract, which was accepted by Destini’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Destini Prima Sdn Bhd (“DPSB”), will allow DPSB together with 29 other local companies identified by MINDEF, to participate in parcels of bidding should RMAF require any non-proprietary aircraft parts. The contract has a combined ceiling of approximately RM121 million and will commence on 1 July 2020 and end on 30 June 2023.

Destini’s management is of the view that this contract reinforces DPSB’s status as a main contractor to MINDEF, where DPSB has been providing its services to the various branches of the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces.

This contract is expected to contribute positively to Destini’s consolidated earnings for the next three years, should DPSB be awarded any of the contract parcels.
